Our winery in the Franconian town of Iphofen grows grapes on 27 hectares at the foot of the picturesque Schwanberg. Julius-Echter-Berg, Küchenmeister and Kronsberg are our parade sites, paired with the powerful terroir of the Keuper, they result in a unique combination.
Great wines mature with us in a great cellar. Our vaulted cellar in the old malt house dating from 1880 is the jewel in the crown of our winery. On three floors deep underground, we let our wines mature in traditional barrique barrels and modern stainless steel tanks. This is also where our sparkling wine factory has found its home, where we live out our passion for high-quality sparkling wine. Every bottle of Zehntkeller sparkling wine is aged by hand using the champagne method. Back in 2009, we converted the farm to organic viticulture and have been bioland-certified ever since. With our farm manager Johannes Weickert, we have the perfect cellar master at our side who will continue to set the right ecological impulses for the future.
Wine sales and tastings take place at the Romantik Hotel Zehntkeller. The Zehntkeller has been in the hands of the Seufert family for 3 generations. In the course of this time it has been developed into a wine tavern, a country inn and finally a hotel. Our hotel has 59 rooms, an à la carte restaurant with about 100 seats, 5 meeting rooms and banquet facilities. In mid 2018, our new event & conference area "Gutshof" with 200 seats was opened.
