The winegrower and the Enderle Winery
Manfred Enderle presents his first self-made wines. From an early age, he accompanied his father into the vineyards, experiencing and internalising his love for the craft of winemaking. With the step from viticulture to winery, a heart's desire came true for Manfred.
Most of the vineyards on the farm are between 40 and 70 years old and stand on shell limestone, which is rare in the region. The vineyards are worked as close to nature as possible (only organic fertiliser, species-rich cover crop to revitalise the soil, etc.).
In the family business, the vines are tended by three generations, mainly by hand.
The wines are pressed on a traditional basket press. After spontaneous fermentation, all the wines are aged with plenty of time, at least in parts, in wooden barrels."
